Sarah Spencer, LCSW

Therapist

Sarah Spencer, LCSW, brings over three decades of compassionate clinical experience to her work with individuals, children, and families. A graduate of the University of North Carolina with a Master of Social Work and licensed in the state of Georgia, Sarah has served in a wide range of settings—from hospitals and hospice care to schools, in-home therapy, and private practice. Her practice is rooted in evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Flash Technique, Trauma-Informed Care, Person-Centered Therapy, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). She is also a trained facilitator for Darkness to Light and Prepare/Enrich premarital counseling.
 

Sarah specializes in working with grief, trauma, adoption and foster care, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and family dynamics. She utilizes assessment tools like the PHQ-9, GAD-7, and risk and safety evaluations to tailor treatment to each client’s needs. She is passionate about supporting clients through healing, education, and emotional resilience. Sarah also provides clinical supervision for bachelor’s and master’s level social workers, fostering the next generation of ethical, empathetic mental health professionals.
